Drawn on wood, from the templates:

Cut out and rounded with the makeshift router:

ok i give up.... how did u get the jig saw to cut that cleanly. I tried to cut out from an old shelf about 3/4 inch solid wood. the blade burnt the wood and it didn't cut at 90 degrees to the surface ?
Is it mine?? hehe Anyway Maybe your blade was not sharp thats why it burned the wood about the 90 degrees ,, it cuts as you hold it .

Take care

I used to have the same problem. Turned out to be me pushing the jigsaw from the sides and not 'steering' it with the blade. A lighter grip and making sure I only pivot around the blade, not trying to push it, and now I get the perfect 90 degree cut every time.

Also if you look at the blade he is using, it is only about half as wide as most blades. This makes cutting curves a whole lot easier.

For the long straights I use a really wide saw, usually used for iron, lol
But the curves that make up most slingshots , those smaller figure-saws really work nicely, altough, you get get a few victims now and then.
But that leaves the guess work out of it, you're wondering when it'll be to dull to cut, SNAP, well there it goes, now you know.

Thanks for all replies :3
