Greetings good people.

During build remembered I do have ocd tendencies myself and consider it a benefit as more attention to detail as a rule.

Inspired by this months SOTM my mind clicked into gear and the result is this beastie.

Based as you can see on a Mule, asymmetrical to help ensure a constant hold. Fish tail added for the same reason.

18mm (3/4" ish) Baltic Birch ply, all hand tools except for some excess removal with a dremel clone and finished with blo.

Will let it dry fully and get it banded up for semi-butterfly shooting tomorrow.

Neat job, Tony, it's great to make something and finally rub that oil on. Well done.

I am getting a Pacemaker (no, that is not a catapult) a week on Wednesday, so that will be fun . . . I hope.
Thank you Mike, much appreciated. Looks even better I think now it's dressed.

I think pacemaker would be an excellent name for a catty. Maybe your next one after having one fitted. Great to hear you finally have a date, good luck and won't expect to hear from you until you're in recovery lol

The fishtail really makes a difference to me also, thats a great looking PFS :headbang:
18mil is the perfect thickness to work with :)
Thank you Reed. Have a fishtail on some of my others and totally agree makes a big difference. First time working in ply and really enjoyed it being 18mm, will have to get myself a table top scroll saw for the next attempt though lol
