OMG .... I'm being watched. !

The old abandoned house that I shoot at is apparently a "Love Shack"

I shot there this morning as I reported on earlier and when I came back, the place was littered with graffiti

They painted a drawing of me with my slingshot - "Pic Below:

A writing is on one of the doors of their intent when they are there. Apparently they are watching me shoot ... WOW ! - Pic Below:

There were other ones that are to graphic to post.

Another Subject -----

Below is a mini Cheapo in yellow - I took off the green 1636's because of a tear I must have caused putting them on and off the sling.

These are pseudo 1745's 6"+ active. 2.5" loop. Shot 1/4" steel with these and the ammo seemed to melt in flight :)

I got to look for another place to shoot tomorrow for sure !!

WOW that is creepy. I am truly blessed to only have to worry about my one neighbor being out when I shoot (never said anything to me but I get the feeling that he would rather I shoot when he is not out). Best of luck on trying to find a new spot. I think you've been at this one for a while?

Yikes! I know me. I'd be tempted to stake the place out. Maybe put down a few people snare's, dig a tiger pit, stuff like that.

Ya, thanks guys, I'm finishing my second beer now and just starting to mellow out (Modelo Especial). ------ That was a very, very strange experience.

There are lots of tweakers out in that part of Lancaster, Ca. These are NOT squatters, has nothing to do with squatters, these folks are tweakers. A huge difference.

On another note, that yellow Cheapo was sending the 1/4" and 5/16" out like a bullet. A great set up for 20-30+ yard pest birds. That 1/4 is flying so fast (as it is with the 1636 tubes also) you would be amazed. That speed it really achieved when the full pull to the wall is reached.

I shot a few shots around the 30 yard range that I watched the ball travel in the straight line to the target. ... The was no softball curve at all !!! As with the 3050 pseudos the speed looks well over the 335fps area

There is so much power in this tube set configuration I do get a little hand web slap, but not bad. If I did not have the "Wall" I would be smacked hard almost every shot as I have been in the past.

That's a bit freaky. Anymore it seems there's meanness every where. My first impression was that kids did it.

Creepy, and not necessarily harmless i.e. you could be at risk if you return there... :hmm: ,well, unless of course you take an AR-15 with you next time, you know, to deal with some strange "critters" if required, that is.

Of course it does depend on who that little shack belongs to, I guess. Maybe it needs to be removed with the right kind of gear? :naughty:

I don't mean that seriously, of course not...

I had several smart A## things to say to the love birds, but I hope you find a better place and stay safe.

Yes, you are very, very blessed. If I could find a little area that was not out in the blazing sun and not an old torn up building I would love it.

I can find it, but they are a driving distance and I don't want to travel 2 hrs or so to shoot a slingshot !!

Maybe a few grains of Pyrodex in your pocket would be...a comfort to the soul.

You could fire some warning shots across the bough before you get near the house .a glass marble or two coming in at 250 fps might "ruin the mood". Lol. Hope you find a nice place to shoot my friend.

It would make a great bullseye if you could locate the camera!

This is why I keep bear mace and a collapsible baton.

Lotta weirdos frequent the train tracks where I go for rabbits. Alot more pests of the two legged variety than four legged.

I'm going back out there tomorrow morning to launch some 1/4" steel. I'm hoping no one is out there so I can have some good shooting time before it gets hot tomorrow.
