Does anyone out there also use one chinese tube per fork like I do? If so, what size and lenght works for you? I find the black tubes hold up the longest and the yellow is a bit too tacky.

I love shooting small shot with one per fork, of course using my MAGNETIC POUCHES, that can be found in the vendor section.

I shoot the 2040 and 1745. To date mostly the yellow. Though I recently purchased some black and red. Can't confidently give an opinion on the black and red but I imagine it to be as you said.

I cut my lengths to 8 1/2 inches (21.6cm) and after tying off there is 7 7/8 (20cm) effective tube to stretch.

Draw is 32 inches.(81.3 cm) The 2040 I usually will shorten the effective length to get more zip.

When I first used the above I didn't shoot 3/8 (9.5mm) steel, though it flies good. If I were to shoot 3/8 on a regular basis I might shorten the band a bit if I found I wanted more speed.
I favor the 1845 black tubes and my finding is for the most effective lengh is no less than 5-1/2 inchs to no more than 6-1/2 inches in length from fork to pouch and these tubes stretch with a feeling of stability. My prefernce is 5/16 steel because they will blow through a can soda or bean can. 3/8 steel is good too but 5/8 marbles are not suited however the 1/2 inch white tracer ammo is fine. I plan to do a littl BareBack shooting with one looped 1845 tube this morning.
Dgui, yes. I have two shooters rigged like that now. One of your pickle forks and another small fork I got from skit slunga which has rayshot's tubes and magnetic pouch. But I still don't shoot butterfly with them, so I can't get can-piercing power. I shoot 1/4-inch bb's with them and it is fun. I can shoot quite accurately at 15 to 20 yards at cans with either of these rigs.

Super! Theres at least a few of us that like single less dramatic performing shooters. Not everything has to be head slammin powerful but enough when you need it. But, Im still pulling for you to get your Monkey Grip Butterfly grove on. You may not be pulling a level set of bands or tubes to get it on. Take some profile video and if you get a hit post it. I think I might.
I have rigged a number that way with 1745, Jmplsnt has a tulipwood one I rigged that way although it would be more than capible of handling stronger sets. I have rigged a couple for my girl that way, and a couple smaller forks that have been set up for BBs.

I find the 1745 a little tough to pull. for the girls you might try 2040 they are not real powerful but easy to control I like them too but I like the 1845 the best so far, they have good low med and high enough power when you require it.
tried the single 2040 but she said it didn't have enough UMPH...the slingshot she has been shooting the most has double 2040 on it..
