other ammo

Ran out of the usual ball bearings so I raided my nuts and bolts box and went for a plink with my new Wasp. I didn't think the nuts would be very accurate but I was surprised how good they actually were, and they really seemed to tear through the can with vicious jagged holes. Might even be a good choice of ammo for rat hunting. This is with 6mm and 8mm nuts, and surprisingly I think the 6mm penetrated the can easier, but the 8mm carried an almighty wollap.

I'm currently trying to get hold of some square nuts, the ones with the really sharp corners instead of the rounded ones.

Hex nuts tied together by string, and you have "bolas" of sorts. Give this a try:

You will need a large pouch. For safety reasons, preferably use a fist grip slingshot with higher forks to keep your fingers well out of the way, just in case. :hmm:
That would suit my "Marble Cannon" quite well. Big slingshot, wide forks and big pouch.

Yeah, I found out cutting old bolts and steel rod into little sections about 3/4 of an inch long makes some really nasty ammo. I don't know how accurate it is long range as it tumbles but for close work it really messes things up.
