I was just hangin out at home doing a little this and that. From the other room my wife says the mail is here. Okie doke says me and I continue puttering around. Then she hands me a parcel with this bad*$$ walnut "spoon rest" from our friend lbojoe. Isn't it cool?! Really comfortable in hand and the walnut is absolutely gorgeous. It came with an extra bandset and some pouches too. What a guy!! Thank you Joseph! That makes THREE new frames for me this week. How lucky can one guy get?

Glad you like it buddy! That's a recurve design by Day Hiker only thinner. Dug it out of a huge fork. To me that's where the prettier grain is. I decided to start making them when looking at the spoon rest on my wife's cook top. Enjoy my friend!!

No joke. That is the best. Walnut is a favorite. When I first came to the Forum I brought part of an old Walnut gunstock with me from some work I did on my GGFathers SideBySide. The 80years of sweat, blood and rain made for some interesting smells as I cut and sanded it into scales and handles. Love those lines. Crazy cool sling!
