What keeps the black cross tube from bending and sliding though the paracord?
The gypsy thru hole is very small and the tubes must be pulled through with a string, the small black tube can't be pulled thru, there is not enough room.

I'm way late to the party on this one, but here goes: If you are worried about the cross tube slipping, put a small piece of plastic zip tie in the cross tube and trim the plastic so it doesn't extend past the cross tube. It adds a bit of structural integrity to the cross tube and will prevent pull through. It's probably not even remotely necessary if you have your gypsy tab setup correctly, but it does give you the peace of mind that you will most likely end your slingshot session with the same number of eyes and teeth that you started with.
