Pinching in front of ammo improved my accuracy...

I recently began pinching in front of my my ammo when drawing back instead of the pouch and found that it has greatly improved my accuracy. Here's why I think it improved my shot: I think my wrist and thumb strength is lacking and I tend to cock my writs when gripping the pouch. Now when gripping the ammo my wrist and my release hand are lined up. And I've found I can switch between gripping in front of the ammo with either my middle finger or pointer finger, which gives me more shooting time when one finger becomes fatigued. My fingers do grip around the edges of the pouch when pulling back but I'm mainly using the ammo to pull back. And I've found that I no longer have to use two hands to center the ammo so my shooting speed has increased. Just wanted to share what has been working for me and why trying new things has showed me more about what I'm doing wrong and how to adjust.

Nice! We all have our own way that works best for us. You may find some time in the future that a different grip or release method ends up working just as well or better. I found keeping open to what works is the best way.

It’s whatever works as long as you can duplicate it on each shot.

Working on it. Also I noticed on my picture that my finger bends when holding the ammo. Not sure if I always do that so I'm going to pay attention so that I can duplicate for what works as you say. Thanks!

That's called Hai style shooting. I do it with clay. It's a great way to shoot!

I shoot with clay also. Come to think of it I'm sure steel or marbles even all feel different when shooting Hai style.
