I dont have problems with my misses bouncing, t shirts stop them . But when I hit a spinner it often bounces back. I saw this fellows solution, looks like a good idea, wouldnt take much to make it more portable than this seems

The solution is to put a bunch of T-shirts IN FRONT of the target. Of course you won't be able to see the target but you can't have it all always in your life.

I guess I could do that , but dont think a t shirt would qualify , in the aim small miss small idea

what Im thinking is your regular catch box,, but with a say 4 foot square piece of cloth , staked down a couple feet of the ground, in front of your catch , just a piece of fabric and 4 sticks basically to catch bounce outs,, I have to get my magnet and find them , just looking for a solution to that, dont care to mow over 1/4

I get bounce backs all the time with every slingshot and band combination. I use a carpet sample behind some T-shirts with another T-shirt bunched up in front in my tote bin catch box. B.B's seem to bounce out the most and plastic especially when shooting spinners.. They don't bounce far so I don't mind. I don't shoot heavier steel or marbles in the house because you do get a full on ricochet sometimes with those. I don't want to break windows or my computer screen. The above set up in the picture looks good though.

I have lots of rebounds that don't stay in the barrel but have gravel around it. I also paint my ammo when it starts to get tarnished and hard to find. 7/16 is still shiney silver and sticks out , 3/8 was painted gold and 5/16 bright yellow; all are very easy to see. There is a thread some where here about making a tumbler from a can for the electric drill and painting the ammo . I used a 3# coffee can and spray paint then let it dry on a cookie sheet,,,,instant tracer ammo after the paint dries

I have enjoyed tweeking my catch boxes and have found thin mesh fabrick hung on thin rod ensuring no side or bottom contact limits bounce back.
Black for white target or can contrast
but black t shirt hung behind for
BBs.
Still get bounce backs but few.

+1 for the leather spinners. For me, everything plastic above 40mm causes bouncing, and even the 40mm does when hit dead center.

Leather spinners most with red center bull work well.
Added benifit , strike sound noteably different between red bull (funny) center and white surrounding.
They are cheap available in good sizes
and seem to last and last with out deforming even after many hits.
Although still get spinner bounce backs
from time to time.
