Hi mates,

I am designing an ancient crossbow inspired on Jörg's one [this: http://3.bp.blogspot...0/armbrust1.jpg ] (to date).

I wanted to know your opinion on what kind of wood would be the most appropiate.

Pinewood for the stock seems right, but what would you use for the "fork"?, multiplex? It must support speargun rubber too.

I also care very much about the beauty matter, not triying to use the cheapest materials.

In addition, what improvements would you suggest me to make this even better (if it is possible)?

Feel free to give me any kind of ideas.

Thank you very much.

nice, I hope you succeed!
...as for materials, I wouldn't know, pinewood/multipley seems the right choice especially for the first try - hardwood would probably look way cooler, but idk how much you'd have to pay for a large enough piece of it...

Thanks for comment. There are not going to be more tries... I want to make it as good as possible. Multiplex seems ok, taking into account weight and resistance. A piece of oak (for example) is heavy as a tank...

More ideas & suggestions are wellcome
