wheres the quality control gone with flatbands every second batch is different, when its bad it doesnt stretch as well and breaks easier but still has the power. how many people have had a bad batch of one of the major brands we all use on the forum, it cant just be old stock, we all store rubber well for years so whos batching the stuff cant they follow a reciepe they probably reed as well as i spell lol everyone.

Short answer? There is no quantity control in china. That said, extruding elastic is not an easy task. To match the heats on different batches is nearly impossible.Its gotta be just good enough to get your money. Just gotta take the bad with the good I guess but if you get some from the middle of the run, you've got you some good elastic.
