I was intrigued by the adaptability of PVC tubes and how they are used for bows and crossbows, so I decided to create my own pistol crossbow with a bow built of stacked flat 3.5 cm wide and 2 mm thick PVC bars.

The shorter the PVC bars are, the more "springy" they become: my bow's longest portion goes beyond the width of the other bars to accommodate the paracord string. The bow isn't pre-stressed in any way, however recurving the PVC bars would undoubtedly increase the draw weight: I'm still learning how to bend with a heat gun. Overall, it performs admirably.
