One of the words today was “Kazoo” there is still a factory that makes the plastic version. The person that called in visited the factory, and while he was there he asked how did the Kazoo get it’s name. Even the factory didn’t know where the original name came from.

How did the kazoo get its name?

In the late 1800s when the word kazoo first appeared, there were several similar-sounding words for "fool" or "stupid person," including gazook, gazabo, gazebo, and gazoo. These might have influenced the development of the name of an instrument that makes a silly sound.
Don't know if its right, but it sounds good.
PS I once took one away from someone and stomped it flat. Sorta' sounded better after that.

I found it interesting that they would still have a factory and actually have guided tours they rank right up there with pet rocks
