my wife had a surplus of 1/2" pvc from a work project that i got to use up. so, i made some blowguns. 4' was the longest length and 3' the shortest. she had some 2' pieces that i shot for a time, but they would shoot bad/good at undetermined times. so, with those, i got a 1/2" coupling, put it on, added another 2' pvc and instant 4' takedown. i also found out that during my experimentations, that bamboo darts can stick in much harder things than expected. shot one in a tree outside and it left the tip in.

got myself a 5' pvc today. cut it in half for two 30" pieces and made two blowguns. they do pretty good out to 25', the 3' does more better.

I'm glad it's working well for you. Just one question did you find any sagging with the breakdown option? I would think that it would want to bend?

it doesn't seem to. i have two 2' pipes with a 1/2" coupling between them for a 4' blowgun.
