Hi everybody, been several years since I've been on the slingshot forum. Had to share my newest creation. At our office they print out tons of paper everyday, it comes from corporate and it gets dropped directly in the recycling bin after being printed. I have a four-day weekend so I thought I would grab a stack of it and see if I could turn paper back into wood to make a slingshot. It was a long process that had partial success. Took a lot of time to spray each sheet and stack it and then deal with all the gunk glue everywhere. After pressing it under bricks I had to use plywood underneath it so it would not flex when I cut it with a jigsaw. With about 10 pounds of force I'm able to Flex the slingshot but then it bends right back into shape. When shooting my light bands for 3/8"clay and BB's it is perfect. As with all of my homemade slingshots I coated it in 2 layers of epoxy. The epoxy definitely stiffened it up and I could probably run my light practice bands with it but I have other slingshots for that. Fun little project that was kind of a pain in the butt to shape and cut but a fun use of my morning. Fun new BB shooter for my collection!!
