The purple one was for somebody else but I haven't heard anything back from them yet so I haven't made it yet but if you want one in purple I have the material to make a full size frame and a pickle fork if you're interested shoot me a message and we'll come up with the price!

I did hard time on Reddit before finally joining here... Between that and Facebook I've seen plenty of his slings and read the reviews too. A good 75% of me even being into slingshots (and guitars) is a love of some beautiful craftsmanship. Mone Waller got me wanting one after seeing him on my Facebook feed every day, and it's disrespectful to the craftsman to have someone buy their functional art as a show piece... So I had to shoot well enough to earn the right to own one.

I build guitars. If you're not a serious player, I don't want you purchasing my sweat and love with money. I give away one guitar to charity each year, if you want it just to hang on your wall, go bid for it.

Honestly, I didn't think he would have the bandwidth to make me one, so I am lucky. I was hoping to call dibs on a work in progress. The hemp wood looks sweet and if it comes in purple, I'll take it in purple thank you very mucho. Visually, I really like the shape, and I've recently conquered my fear of tying on bands.

Funny enough... After low key wanting a frame from Mone, I posted something slingshot related and had like 5 mutual FB friends DM me like "You need to meet this guy, You two would get along so well." A week later, he posting a spring drop with frames that didn't require a waiting list and in my color. I literally got home from picking up my sling from Mone when I got an email that I won the Scout X. (In purple!) Now, a few days into being here, another maker posts something I wouldn't have seen otherwise... A sling I had bookmarked in the color and configuration I wanted.

I have always been the universe's favorite child and once again it has conspired to bring me joy. FWIW, I believe in pronoia - the belief that shadowy figures are constantly plotting and conspiring behind the scenes to make me happy. It is the opposite of paranoia. Everyone is out to get me - to go outside and get some sunshine and meet cool people.

Because of that I already feel great. I know this is going to be an awesome frame. Made by a good dude. I hope I am but a small part of the giant conspiracy to make his life awesome too.
