I was not familiar with the flat band style slingshots until I saw some on YouTube. With covid restrictions I haven't been out pistol shooting in months. I needed something to keep me in the Zen place again. I figured a slinghshot to relive my early teens was just the ticket haha!

I picked up a scout XT & a rambone 2.0. WOW are these things fun! I repurposed a trash can some rats chewed up & now I can shoot in my yard anytime I want. I bought my best man at my wedding one for his B day & got my nephew into it too.

My dad is a master wood craftsman. I told him about the plans for Jorge's rambone 2.0 and he wants to make some. I'll post up some pics when we make some.

I just cut my 1st set of bands last weekend & learned how to tie to the frame. Really enjoying this new hobby!

Happy shooting fellas!

this is a great addition to trigger time. Pick up some of those woodworking skills from your dad. He probably would enjoy the company during shutdown.
He is very hard to deal with anymore. We have vastly different views on politics. Unfortunately despite my repeated attempts to agree to disagree....that all he wants to talk about.
He has made a famous George maloof rocking chair, violins, guitars, countless pens(believe last count was close to 1000). I'm having a hell of a time logging into Tapatalk so I can post pics or I would show some of his work.

I'll try harder. I know it would make my mother who is no longer here happy. The slingshots could be the ice breaker we need.

I'm following the link on the YouTube video for the rambone template. It takes me to the forum which is how I found out about it. The page says I don't have permission even though I'm logged in? I found the template page and used the search but don't see the rambone template on that part of the forum either.

Can anyone help me out please?

welcome from Indiana. It sounds like you got the right attitude about this whole thing. And yo get to hang out and learn stuff with your dad. Double score.
I met up with my dad and gave him some slinghshot plans. I brought him a bunch of different slinghshots to show him what makes them good and what makes them great!
He worked at a wood bow making shop a long time ago & used to shoot a bow. When I showed him a OTT setup with flat bands his eyes lite up. He said he has had some ideas over the years.
I'll post up whatever he makes.

Here is some of his work. He made me the gun grips for my birthday I believe.

Sam maloof style chair
Tanfoglio Match Elite -custom grips
