I just received a very sad call from Janice Henrie - Roger Henrie passed away yesterday after a 6 month battle with a fast moving lung cancer. She said he began feeling poorly last August - no appetite or energy, but didn't want to talk to his doctor so finally she did. Testing revealed the diagnosis but it was too late. She also said he was suffering and in a great deal of pain, and in one sense, she is glad his suffering is over. He was 82 and is survived his wife and one living son.

His wife asked me to post this notice, but I do so with a heavy heart. He was naturally creative & innovative, and of course, a titan and pioneer in shooting sports. I'll always cherish my memories with him, especially his deep quiet intelligence. RIP my friend.

Another great one passes on. Roger was a wonderful guy and a great inspiration to many builders in the Slingshot world. He was a very skilled craftsman and a really nice guy. Condolences to his family. RIP Roger.

I've had several great influencers from the slingshot world.... Roger ranks as my greatest when it comes to design and ergonomics.

His insight and natural creativity will be sorely missed... To be further honest, his was the opinion I valued the most when it came to my own designs.
Could not ask for a better testament to Roger. RIP
