There was a post a while ago about the longevity of rubber spinners from a few Chinese suppliers.

Until recently I've had absolutely no issue - and they have worked well. I hang them on paracord through a tube which allows them to take a hit (I think) better than simply hang.

A day or two ago I went to my matchbox to get some more ammo and noticed a few orange chips in the bottom of my matchbox and inspecting the spinner a few cracks and chips out of the edges... Being I'm in the Southern Hemisphere and still in the grips of winter it leads me to suspect that they are harder and susceptible to breakage more so in colder conditions.

Yep, they are. The only spinners I haven't managed to destroy yet, are those microfiber ones.
