Is this still a thing? I suppose since it’s difficult to see status updates anymore it might as well be. I’m not sure what I’ll put in here but I promise it’ll be occasionally funny and mostly useless! 😄

Yes.

I think that blogs are a public journal or diary and thus more introspective that a thread, which is a conversation. A blog gives you the freedom to write longer pieces and expand from the usual topics here. Tom Gaylord has a very successful airgun blog at Pyramid Air, with lots of followers that generates many comments.

Thus, a thread can be as simple as, “Does anyone else get a dopamine rush from hitting a pop can at 10 yards?” A blog would discuss what dopamine is and why we get a rush from successful aiming.

Looking forward to reading your musings.

Fortunately the product turned out to be ok so in the end that’s all that matters. I wanted to take pictures before I opened it though just in case I needed to make a claim. I’ve never had to do that, but it was looking a bit iffy there this morning! It looked liked the driver used a steel pipe to pop fly it into my yard! Haha. Picked up one of those new SS belt magnets and it was expensive but good quality. I’m going to try and put a review together for the forum on it. It picked up a can of Drum tobacco I have filled to the brim with 1/2” steelies! I’ll have to make sure not to get too close to doorknobs with it on 😂.

Thanks. Yeah this was a hand me down from my grandpa. It has most certainly come in handy. As with most of my grandpa’s old tools though, I’m glad I’m up to date on my tetanus shots. 😂

Testing out some knotwork on the back of my paddle strop. A while back Raventree sold me some nice pieces of strop leather. I’m thinking about putting together some belt strops but fancying them up a little bit. I think they’ll look better burned/carved in leather than inked on wood. Pretty pleased with the test so far though.
