Hello, Everyone in Sling Shot Land.

My name is Larry G.

I am 68 years old and have very fond memories of an aluminum Scope Shot sling shot that I ordered through the mail when I was 12 years old.

Way back in 1962, I lived on a farm in Pottstown, Pa., where I spent a lot of happy times in the woods with my 2 dogs , Bugle and Teddy, and my beloved Scope Shot.

If any Scope Shots are available out there, I would love to have one.

Please let me know where I may possibly acquire one.

I shall keep my fingers crossed!

Thanks for listening.

Any comments welcomed.

Have fun slinging!

Larry

'Welcome to the forum, Larry G. There is a vintage slingshot sub-forum Here where old guys like us . can reminisce about "back in the day" slingshots. You can also post in the classified section. Also try sending a private message to Flatband, one of the resident slingshot historians here.

You can sometimes find scope shots on Ebay,

Good luck with your quest.

Welcome to the Forum Larry! There is a Scope-Shot up for bid on e-bay right now. Type in Scope-Shot Slingshot just the way I did it. You'll see it on the first page of results. It's going for $49 I believe. Good Luck! BTW-was one of my first commercial Slingshots also.

Flatband,

Thank you so much for the Ebay alert.

I typed in 'Scope-Shot Slingshot' as you suggested. I came up with a Scope-Shot Slingshot Paper Target which is actually really, really cool.

I will consider purchasing it.

Am I missing something here?

Please let me know.

And, thanks again for the help.

Reed,

Yeah, man. Good stuff.

I really enjoyed the article you posted.

In my humble opinion, the scope feature on the Scope Shot was a way to sell more slingshots.

It certainly did not make me a more accurate shooter.

It was a good marketing tool, for sure.

Any thoughts anybody?
