I recently picked up a used PP Seal Sniper from this forum. Since its a new to me slingshot I figured I would try some new ammo as well. I usually shoot 1/2" steel bearings. I've only been shooting it for 2 days now and I have seen a substantial improvement on hits. I think there are 2 main reasons. 1. I am using a black band that I had on hand and it's easier to pull and hold. However it doesn't seem to be as zippy as my usual .040 pure latex. 2. I am using 5/16" hex nuts and I can get a better hold on the ammo. I think I had a tendency to hold the bearings ahead of the ammo instead of just on top. I've noticed I don't get anywhere near as many flyers as before, and the few that I get I can easily account to bad form before the release.

Soup cans are a ton of fun. They can take way more beating than a soda can.

Thank you. Its been on my want list for a long time now. So when it came up on the For sale by individuals section I jumped right on it.

The soup can looks like something that came through the transporter on Star Trek during a solar flare. Impressive job tearing it to shreds!

I am going to have to try some hex nuts. How does the weight compare to 1/2 steel shot?
Blue Raja, you have a way of saying what I wish I could think to say.

Mr. Nimble, that is a fine shooter and shooting. I just picked up some hex nuts for ammo today. It had been a while and man...they're fun at shredding stuff.

I used some bearing a hot glue to add mass. I think the 5/16" are heavy enough without the bearing...so tomorrow I going to filling up the rest with hot glue for comfy grip and better aerodynamics.

Haha, that's an unusual but very accurate description!
