I worked on this slingshot this last weekend and got it finished today. I just rubbed it down with furniture paste wax like most of my shooters. Most guys like Danish oil and such...so do I really, but for slingshots I like the way the wood feels after it drys for a week or so.
These kind of shaped slingshots sure are harder to make, but the finished product makes it worth it to me.
I think my next project will be a palm swell type of handle that I've seen on the forums such as Jaybird makes. They seem like they would be real tournament winners!
Maybe I'll buy some of that polyurathane that you can just rub into the wood like Danish oil with a rag. I think I've used it long ago and liked it, but memory fades easily as the years go by. Seems like it was MinWax?
