Sharpened tapers... Any thoughts?

Just found this cutting template that does sharpened papers at sling shooting.com. Was reading a little bit about them and it looks pretty interesting just wonder if anyone has any experience or thoughts on the speed orb and longevity.

So the sharpened taper is coming out of China it's something new. Basically the taper is in the middle 100 mm of the Bands. They say it makes for a slightly faster bands and they last just as long. To me what sounds interesting is to be able 2 cut the Bands from the template and be able to trim down the ends to get maximum draw length without losing the actual taper end width. If that makes sense, when you look at the template the ends of the bands are straight with it all the tapering in the middle 100 mm of the band. They are selling these from slingshooting.com and it's only 18 bucks for the template to cut the full width latex and you can pick any size and you want in any length you want.

Sounds pretty good to me

Thanks for the replies, I do know about extreme tapers...I do a 30x15 with .6mm and get 290fps with a 36" draw with ⅜" steel. Same latex at 25x20 but much faster.

Urban what I would like about the steep taper is being able to cut a set of bands at say 7" and then trim them down to max draw without losing my ideal taper. I guess I will have to try them to see.

I do still feel very new it's only been several months since I started slingshotting, I'm just a geek for finding the best of something or the optimal of something. And I will definitely share the results in a couple of months when I'm ready to make another order from slingshooting.com

I have been using the sharpened tapers I got from slingshooting.com and they do work great. I can't say that there any faster or more Snappy than a normal taper I don't have a chronograph but they work great for me. And I definitely like being able to make them 7 1/2 inch and then trim them down a little bit if I want to get a little more power out of them and not lose my taper.

Cheers
