It is breeding season so they are out in force! But the hunting season for them is closed until August. But walking to the neighbor's house I counted 6 in the mile or so walk this morning. August will be a fun month!I'm glad I'm not a grouse in your neighborhood!
Man how I wish my nearest neighbor was a mile away!It is breeding season so they are out in force! But the hunting season for them is closed until August. A screw driver in the junk yard and you can get a bunch of lead off in the form of wheel weights. Most of mine is old dive weights from a couple buddies who are retired underwater welders.Look's good mate.
I went phoned three scap metal places before I could find any lead. Are you goint to use a tumbler?
I don't really think it makes a huge difference. People shoot rocks, hex nuts and all kinds of non-perfectly balanced or spherical objects. I have some store bought led balls that I have shot into cement blocks and now they have a flat side, those still hit a bottle cap at 10 to 12 yards, so the little tag end not being perfectly flush is not something I am going to burn any money or time making a tumbler for.I saw your hunting vid (Spruce grouse vid). Nice shooting. So your ammo flys true and you get no swing? I asked because I was watching Catapault carnage's friend (Pauls Wild World) and Joefe slingshot hunting and they both tumbled their ammo off and I was curious to see if you thought is was necessary also.
Lead shot, how to round them off
Thank's for posting the video and replying to my message.
