Target: Premium stainless steel flour sifter, designed to last a lifetime.
Range: 10-14m
Ballistics: 3/8" steel, at roughly 190-220 fps (guestimate).

Before (actually, it already had a few hits here):

After:

I'd had to re-attach the missing handle several times before finally giving up. The stainless steel gave it surprising durability ... a lesser or thinner material would have been shredded (instead of being heavily dented like it is here).

Anyone else have some before & after pics ?

Wow, that's some hefty ammo you were using ... .93" lead, 1250 grain, 50 ft/lbs ... according to my math, that means you had them moving at 130 fps. Must be very strong bands.

What's the draw-weight on those bands ?

I'm not sure of the draw weight but the bands were Silver Thera tubes so yes the draw weight was high. Since I took those pics I have moved onto large extended fork slingshots with various rubber including the Silver Thera tubes and also Gold Theraband. The fastest speed I have achieved with those 1250 grain balls is now 170 fps = 80 ft/lbs.

Egads, that's a lot of KE ... would love to see some pics of the sling.

I'm probably going to move up to 1/2" or 9/16" steel.

What an awesome looking sling ... remindes me of an evil green goblin.

Might be a good name for it, if it doesnt already have one.

Hi Darb,

Thanks for the compliment!

Yes thats my devil slingshot a closer look shows the horns rising from the head/skullface and merging to the tenons of the slingshot. On the other side is not a face but something else and at the base is a cloven hoof.

I use it for hunting and it is my favorite of the many I have made..

I wonder if I should present these on the custom slingshot section of this forum?
