I think their clips take away from the slingshot a bit but they do make for a quick band change. I think that they should include black Allen head bolts with them instead of the straight blade chrome screwdriver slot or at least a Phillips head bolt. I like the newer thicker clips though over the old flip clips because they are strong, can't be broken and don't slip. The slingshot's do give you the choice of tying your bands on also.

Check the link Hoss. It's about Flip Clip X, aluminium, introduced couple of years ago. There's also my opinion: bulky.
I checked out the link and read the whole thing, I guess some like them and some don't. They work good but I just don't like the looks of them. I'm thinking I my try to mod them some way.

I've always thought they were a poor design ... 'bolt on bricks' ... and if you add my preferred thumb screws, you really have a clunky looking top heavy frame. But truthfully, that doesn't bother me while shooting - just when looking at them. I ordered my thumbies from McMaster-Carr - black 3/4" for my black XT and brass 1/2" for my black LT, but now Simple sells brass versions for way less than I paid. I'd like to see someone section and remove a lot the width, it's just not on my front burner right now.
