We've been having a bit of a slingshot recession here in KY. Between the bad weather, the holidays, finishing school and starting a new job, my slingshots have been gathering a lot of dust. Fortunately MakoPat came to the rescue with a little slingmail to jumpstart my enthusiasm and get me back outside chucking lead!

The first thing that fell out was this sweet little PFS. I harbor a perverse desire to shoot these things, and this is the first true PFS I've ever gotten to shoot (I've been shooting gappers). I cannot stress how comfortable this thing is to hold! It fits in the hand perfectly, has a great feel with no hot spots, and has some pretty sweet lines to boot. The attachment method is a first for me as well. I really dig the way it looks, and the ability to quickly adjust the length of rubber is a nice bonus.

The PFS was nice, but the second frame is the real showstopper. This thing is CLEAN! Palm swells on both sides of the handle blend seamlessly into the frame, which has these amazing contoured lines. And check out the attachment method! Leather tabs connected by these little brass bolts make for easy changing of bands, and Pat even threw in an extra set of tabs and rubber if I want to up the power level a bit. Finally, the lanyard on there is a piece of work unto itself. I don't know how he braided it or wove the magnet in there, but it matches the frame perfectly. I don't collect a lot of slings, but this thing is something I'm gonna pass down to the grandkids someday. It's not going anywhere.

A big thanks to MakoPat for his generosity and craftsmanship. I'm continuously impressed by the generosity and kindness of people on the forum. It gives me hope for society at large, and inspires me to do the same for others. Happy slinging!

My day is made brighter and better by your kind words.

I feel a keen sense of accomplishment when someone like to shoot what I made.

Thanks to a for the kindness and to inspire paying forward is hiney in my coffee.

That pfs is among the first I tinkered. Worm attachment before I knew how to do it better.

Rich Neeman sent me a teak gapper that is a prime example. That helped, but I feelnit is important to pass on the piece with glitches and blemishes...the real character of the flip and maker.

Ans Kawkan has instilled in me a love for 1632 and 1636 with 5/16" steel.

Mikey, I believe us Gapper guys and gals and other lightweight shooters should proselytize as many as possible. Hahaha...

Ah, it's been a couple years since I've made the drive up there. I'm due for a Reds game sometime in the near future (and my wife is always up for a trip to Ikea). Nice part of the state. Hopefully we'll see some tournaments in OH or IND pop up in the near future. I'd like to attend one of the other big two, but they're both a drive.
