In my younger days, I'm 58, I used to love to go and play paintball with my son. Slingshots, however, were forbidden - something about them exceeding the 250 FPS rule. Okay, from what I have read in the forum it is pretty much impossible to exceed the 250 FPS threshold even with heavy bands and lead ammunition. I can understand the paintball field operator not wanting a "device" that can exceed 280 FPS - the speed that can overcome the elasticity of human skin, thus causing a cut - but if a slingshot can't, why not allow them? Paintball being an elaborate game of "tag"
would be a whole lot more fun, and much less expensive, if the participants could use short range, single-shot slingshots. I'd like to hear your input.
