Does anyone here shoot small OTT hammer gripper frames? This is one area that I haven't yet explored. I'm currently tinkering with a small pincher frame with an 80mm fork width. This got me thinking about an all-wood OTT hammer gripper but I need to draft up a template that has as low fork profile for shooting comfort. Anyone got a nice design?

Attached is a pic of the small pincher that I have been modifying. The pinch width is so small that maybe a hammer design would be just as sweet to shoot. I'm not sure though.

That small hammer grip idea is intriguing. It's on my (long, long) list of shooters to make.

Bill Hays has posted several templates on the forum over the years. They may give you a launching point.

Thanks! I totally forgot to check the templates.

Can't hold hammer grip but that handle looks very comfortable.
I only have a little forward wrist flexion and no wrist extention. So hammer grips are right out for me.

But Northerner, I dig 'em. You do good work, man.

Hi MakoPat... My wrist is bad too so a straight wrist is best for me. I'm not sure if my problem is arthritis or chronic tendonitis but it's been bothering me for a little over a year now. I even have to lay off of flip style for a while because it causes aggregation.

The frame in the above pic is a hammer-pinch shooter and it's shot with a neutral wrist. The hold feels like a recurve bow. I hold higher on the forks than would be possible with most hammer grips. Wrist pressure is minimal with the force felt in the palm and hand web. I only shoot with light bands with the hope of my wrist healng some day.
