That’s cool man but make sure you have anyone who participates signs some kind of liability waver. There’s always that one guy that can ruin everything for everyone and it’s better to be safe than sorry imo. 🤙🏽
Yes, I totally agree! Thank you for the very helpful reminder! I don't want to get the establishment in trouble for that one guy! Common sense isn't really that common nowadays 🤣

You are more persistent and your HOA is much more enlightened than mine.

My neighbor HOA board member (and massive bully) decided to adopt rules and regulations preventing any kind of projectile shooting weapon and used his other HOA friends to adopt those.
Those rules were cause by me apparently making too much noise (according to him) doing archery and shooting air guns and slingshots.
Now that prick moved away and my new neighbors (for a few years) don't seem to mind.

That neighbor was what you might call the HOA alpha male.
I miss him, mostly because I can no longer do the little things that annoy him :)
LOL 😆 good thing he moved out! I'm baffled by folks who prevent others from doing what makes them happy. I'm fortunate having cool neighbors. One in particular took a trip to Montana and came home with a Moose head kids' slingshot as a present. Too bad he's selling his property.

Thanks Darrell! I work from home and now I'm always excited for the weekend to come around because of this project. I gave the staff a couple of slingshots and ammo so they could shoot during downtime or after work, so even if no one shows up to a meet, I still have people to shoot with 😆👍 Win!

Good job. Though I am just getting into slingshots I have been down this road. The key to it IF YOU WANT SOMETHING GET OFF YOU ASS AND DO IT AND DON’T WAIT FOR SOMBODY ELSE TO DO IT FOR YOU. For example I lived in an HOA that did not allow archery or air rifle. There was land available so I petitioned the HOA board for several years and got the green light. It became so popular the HOA, after about 10 years, spent $100K building a very nice shooting range & buildings. I started air rifle field target matches and people came from all over Texas and surrounding states. Several other field target clubs sprung up around Texas from that. Point I am trying to make it takes one person with a vision and drive to make big things happen. To me this is natural. I am a Texan. It’s just the way i was raised. If you want something do it, build it, make it happen. Too many people sit on their ass wanting something but want others to do the hard work to make it happen. Be that person. It’s a lot of work but if you love it you will have a great time building something you want from nothing and meeting great friends along the way.
Sounds like wisdom to me.

Congrats on getting up and running! I would suggest that you get members to donate ply and natural shooters and contact Scout Troops and other camp style organizations in your area. You can educate about them, show the fun, teach the responsibility and get them building.

That's a brilliant idea! Thanks for suggesting it brother! And you're right, it'll teach them responsibility as well as it being a fun activity. I might start off with Natties, then let them shoot what they built! It'll give them an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment. 👍

Love it! Great job on getting a local "Shoot" together. More of these get togethers is just what the sport needs in the U.S. Excellent work Mr.Three Stars!(y)
