Something I can't shoot.

Since I'm new around here any opinions on how much a frame like this is worth?
I carved this quite early on when I started messing around shooting rubber, I saw a lot of shooters using TTF so roughly knocked up what felt right in the hand it looks a bit like PPMG but I've never seen one in person to compare.

I have been trying to give it a run it's very comfortable but it's just too alien to me now I can't shoot TTF I don't have an anchor point and also don't really pinch grip either, not much fun feeling like a beginner when I can shoot quite well OTT.
I don't have any immediate friends who shoot to gift it too or swap for something.

Keep at it. It is no more difficult than OTT just different. Start using it regularly and you will soon be comfortable with it. Your frame looks really nice too. How much is it worth? Hard to say. Name your price and see what happens. No takers then drop the price.

I really can't get on with the fixed anchor now pretty sure it's my shoulder issues and drawing back further just had me catching my beard which is very uncomfortable.
I've only really bought some mass production frames and then made a few naturals for myself so interested in what people might sell hand carved stuff for although this has a rustic vibe.

As others have said, put it up in the sales section for a price and see what happens. If I had to guess, start at $25 with free shipping.

Naturals are a tough sell from what I've seen, except for a select few makers who have been doing it for years and built up their name.

If you think that price is too low ( natties are tough, lot more work than cutting out pieces of material , laminating together, round over and sanding ) so put a bit more file work into it, and LOTS more sanding to take the “rustic “ vibe off, and you can ask for more .

A very nicely made natural with beautiful wood grain.

Aiming is more difficult with a through-the-forks (T.T.F) band set up when shooting sideways, because the flat surface of the bands lies horizontal versus the ground. In a sense, T.T.F seems more logical as a slingshot held upright - as opposed to "over the top" (O.T.T.) slingshots, where one aims along the upper-facing, visually superimposed side edges of the perpendicularly facing drawn out flat bands when shooting sideways.

A steady and consistent anchor point somewhere on the side of the face, like under the cheekbone, significantly helps in achieving accuracy with regard to consistent draw lengths (= power output) and aiming prior to releasing the pouch. Floating anchor (so-called "instinctive shooting") points for the semi and full "butterfly" technique) take significant practice to master in terms of proper technique and related muscle memory.

New shooters are most certainly better off using a steady anchor point to reach a good level of accuracy at 10 yards through regular practice, and only then giving floating anchor points a try.

You mentioned shoulder issues: those "Thera-Band" gold flat bands (?) probably have a fairly hefty draw weight. A lighter band set possibly with the same dimensions but thinner rubber should help.

Instead of selling at a low price what was clearly quite a bit of hard work, I would first try to seek an exchange with someone on this forum whose designs you feel could be relevant to you from an O.T.T. perspective.

Doesn't seem like it is worth much money wise especially as carved TTF is quite a bit of work I was just wondering if it would offset the cost of something else I have had my eye on. Almost be giving it away when you factor in post cost. Flip side it seems a shame to just keep it in a drawer where it's probably been for 5 years now on and off I made it before I knew what worked for me or in this case didn't, so now was wondering about it going to a new home.
Draw weight isn't an issue for the shoulders when I work around them I regularly practice with much heavier bands and the bow must be atleast 5x the weight it's the short face anchor, two operations on my left following injury and pretty major impingement in my right (ammo hand) that means only long draw or butterfly are comfortable. With limited shooting time I'm happy to just stick with what I like doing, and I can really put a beating on targets full butterfly.

Will take the bands off and give it quick clean with a scotchpad and some fresh linseed oil while I continue to ponder it's future.

My advise would be to spend lots less time thinking about money and concentrate on your release.

So I'm not particularly interested in being told how to shoot TTF I was just wondering if was to sell it then what funds I could reinvest in something useful to me.
Might just put it back in that drawer.

Instead of selling consider look at trading with somebody for something they made.

I’d keep it. Not long from now you’ll wish you’d kept it. I wish I’d kept my first one.

I understand what your saying but shoot my others on rotation it's just this TTF in don't get on with I'm otherwise happy with my shooting. For someone who likes 90mm TTF and doesn't carve much it would work.
I don't have loads of money right now so was thinking it might buy me a different frame or some air rifle ammo or something.
Can always make another one if I get the urge.
$7000 take nothing less.
I raise you $1million 😏👈 or sharks with frickin lasers!
