There was a black walnut tree at the job site I'm working; thought they were going to have to cut it down and I was all giddy.

Turns out it was on the save list; but, I did find a fallen limb in the undergrowth.

Here is the result of a bit if carving, rasping, and sanding; I kept it too a minimum because some of spalting was rather rot.

Soaked in BLO and finished with beeswax.

Banded with 3/4" straight cut .50 Sweet 16's from Noah at SpecTeams; tied with brown crystal string, and a homemade pouch punched with a GZK die.

It really likes the 3/8" steel; as well as, the 1/2" marbles.

That beauty looks great. How's the weight of it?
I'll have to find some scales to get a measurement.

It's fully dried and it is surprisingly lightweight.

It might look a little bigger than it actually is since I took the pictures close up.

I'll try to get a weight and also post a picture of me holding it for scale.
