Tks Monroe, that flared lanyard tube gave me fits this time.
I always start with a small drilled hole, then step up in bit size gradually, so they follow the same path.

I was rushing on this one and jumped bits by several, and the larger bit made its own hole, even when it looked and felt like it was drilling true, so I wound up with a small initial hole right beside the larger one....DOH !

I like the finish Tru-oil gives (worth the multi coats) but no the smell when using it
