Just an update on my "special" one I have shaped the fork to fit my hand and sanded up to 600 grit. I then rubbed a good amount of Tru oil into the surface to give the wood some stability, I will now wait another few days/weeks until I am happy with the "feel" then I aim to sand up to 1000 grit and apply some more Tru oil to get a high shine finish. The pictures do not show half the depth of the spalting its multi layered almost 3D.

Ok guys round three of the picture wave this is how I finished the fork with a nice high gloss CA coat to harden the soft wood and a rub down to buff with Tru Oil I love this fork I just don't know if I can shoot it....
