WTH is up with all the multiple new posts slipping through that are labeled as new girl glad I signed up etc, that are jamming up inboxes with these bogus new accounts ?

Is anyone else seeing these ?

Can't the site block these spammers somehow ?

A large Russian weapons forum has the following rules: Newbies cannot create their own topics until they have collected a certain number of posts on the forum. Topikstarters in their topics can delete spammers' messages on their own, without the help of moderators. I think this is a good option for fighting spam.

Dude! I was Stoked to see them! We real members are sincere and kind to each other. I find them and make a semi slang/response to their posts. Once I am assured that they are not just an awkward Google Translate. It Is ON! I try to keep it on this side of what Henry will tolerate. (Not always succeeding) and will stick Anti-Troll suppository's of ingenuous sarcastic comments and responses ; well, into their... erm...posts as far as I can. I don't want to offend potential members and prevent them from joining our community,

I hear ya Flip, but I personally use Tapatalk app for all my forum posts, and I do not like all the extra garbage as I get notifications every time somebody posts that crap...... and I don't want to turn notifications off as I might miss something from someone important like you brother.

Please keep reporting SPAM. I've banned more than 2 dozen SPAMMERS this month. The moderators do what we can to get rid of them, but until they post, we have no proof they are SPAMMERS. Also we all have lives off the Forum, and with the high volume of new posts every day, we simply can't read every new one to catch SPAMMERS. I check the new members list almost every day, and sometimes ban a SPAMMER within minutes after posting, but even that doesn't catch them all. Sometimes, they wait for weeks or months before posting.

We need your help. Please report SPAM, and a moderator will remove the SPAMMER.

I guess I should be grateful for them. The Forum has matured to a great group of people with very little conflict. Without SPAMMERS, I wouldn't have a job.
