I made a flip from old cracked up spruce. It promptly split right down the middle leaving me with two unequal "slices" of the slingshot. I threw it in the burn bin and today as I was lighting the morning fire I thought, "this just needs the belt sander and a core!". So a few hours later we have a functional strong slingshot and it does not look too bad either. Finished in superglue.

It's slim enough to fit in a pants pocket and it is a dynamite shooter. Bands are .8 cut 20-15. Seems to move 11 mm steel pretty well.
