SUPER SHOOTING, some of the best shots ever done by slingshooters

It occurred to me that a whole lot of the new members have no idea what is actually possible with a slingshot.... A whole lot of these shots are just as good or better than anything that's ever been done with firearms at the same distances.

Only uncut, distance verified and unedited shooting sequences can make the list.

What follows is some of what's been done to show what is possible, looks like about 3 videos per post will work:

Here Treefork gets 8 hits in one minute with one light up... on MATCHES

Here I show how to light a match from over 100 feet away

Here I cut a card from over 130 feet away, while it's blowing in the wind:

Swinging Gambler shot... where you have to cut a card, light a match all while the whole thing is swinging/moving.... ridiculously difficult

My take on the swinging gambler... the Spinning Gambler:

Todd Ransom/Gray Wolf doing the Spinning Gambler:

And of course Treefork showing how it's done, in a more difficult way

Todd Ransom taking it easy, casually shooting matches:

Beanflip shooting card faces... 39 in a row

Treefork's 46 in a row, stopped because his band broke:

Rayshot showing what consistency is all about... when shooting matches

Matt McLay, showing youthful eyes can be of help:

All the way from Hawaii, Steven Parker shows how match lighting isn't only a mainland thing:

Can opener/Randy Knapp, getting the Gambler done... super hard to do:

Doing something most people would consider impossible makes a person happy... Daranda's first on camera match light:

A little AimCam fun:

Fun simulating the Silverado Shot, that Scott Glenn was depicted doing in Silverado... but for real and with a slingshot!

Great Post Bill! That's a group of great shooters. Marty (Treefork) has always impressed me with his shooting. They are all great examples of Slingshot Excellence-great job! :)

You know, I'd like it even better if others were to post examples of particularly good shooting videos... and I ask that the only stipulations being, no edits or cuts once the shooting sequence begins... that way it's at least a little more difficult to fake it.

There's plenty of room on this thread.

I appreciate it Mate. It looks like my best days are in the past... although I do plan on going to the World Championships next year, for the first time.
And I guess we'll see what we'll see.

Byron Ferguson, who was acclaimed for "trick shots" just passed away.

His "Trick", usually, was to use weak-spined arrows which would wobble in flight. That would be akin to using a large diameter ball bearing vs a much smaller diameter ball bearing to hit a "target".

Otherwise, he actually was very accurate, putting an arrrow through a standard finger ring on Japanese TV segment.

THWACK!

Thanks again,
I've competed in many many competitions.... main ones are from Chess, to Art, Martial Arts, 3Gun, Greyhound racing, and even slingshots are some.... I've done pretty well in most... usually in the top three.
Competing in front of crowds doesn't really put a lot of pressure on me... what's limiting me now is I'm simply a little to shaky now to compete as well as in the past... the shakiness is from my meds, old age weakness, and not being able to work out the right way to overcome it..... But I do have some ideas and we'll see how that goes when the time comes.

mate the only thing i no about recovery is a pressure type chamber called a hyperbaric chamber, oxygen therapy. world class athletes use them for recovery swimmers runners. wsm competitores. and if you got about 100 000 grand to through around get yourself stem cell research , that and work is how tyson got his ripped younger look back from . they take stuff out of you turbo charge it in a test tube and shoot it back into you and you become the hulk again mate obviously a bit more involved than that but thats it in a nutshell mate if money wasnt the problem i would get both in a heartbeat. , thats if the stem cell is safe well mike hasnt blown up his heart yet so it should be ok havnt heard any bad reports. clear it with your doctors first mate but those chambers really get the oxygen in to the injuries if its safe for you to use some hospitals have them it could help you a real lot Bill or it wouldnt be anygood for you at all mate, we gotta try something to get your ready for the worlds mate , and dont forget if you win you mate its partly because you are an honorary Australian lol mate cheers

Bill,

Thanks for posting these videos. I believe the card cut and match light challenges were in 2013. I was just beginning to get back into slingshots. I was watching these sharp shooters with amazement. Even though I was a noobie, I wish I had attempted these. These type of challenges make you a better shooter, but I didn't learn that for a couple of years. I am fortunate that I got to meet most of these people at the MWST.

We should probably come up with something like a slingshooting video semi-contest.... where over the course of a month people post videos of their shooting, doesn't have to be shooting stunts, but just getting out there and shooting.... then from the group of entrant videos three are randomly chosen and slingshot prizes are awarded....
Something like that.

Not super duper but this is one of one of my personal better sessions on camera. Went in genuinely cold and untested with the setup, round two from 3.50 has 3 partial hits on a card from 5 shots, getting the same corner was me still dialing in the hold over.

As for super shooting trickshots Zwilenfink has made a bunch I think where pretty dam cool.

I am truly honored, and frankly embarrassed, to have any of my shooting included here. Alas, various medical problems, failing eyesight, and essential tremor in my hands combine to make precision shooting a thing of the past for me. I urge everyone to try it ... trying will certainly improve your shooting. And you will never know what you can do if you do not try it.

Cheers ... Charles

Those were the vids that made me want to shoot slingshots, bought the HTS many years ago, But found out I was more accurate with OTT, even made most templates you posted, i used the Kodiak if i am not mistaken, alot, made my kids a frame you called the Little Boy, you posted once, i still get a warm feeling when i see those older Pocket Predators.

I just picked up shooting recently, and will attempt these trickshots again, it makes you a better shot, AIM SMALL, MISS SMALL

Thanks for all the info you gave us all these years Bill
