Ok cool! I really appreciate the feedback! It will certainly help. Thank you again my friend!
I like to shoot natural forks I make. I always bought my bands online. Well I'm into making them myself now. Any tips of size taper for naturals? I use it for small game hunting. Sorry for the newb question.
We like all questions...and Winnie knows stuff.

And remember we love pics.

Happy shooting, buddy.

PS- the sling bug is strong when you start making band sets. And no cure is avaible...good news is you can manage the affliction with more bands sets, frames, and shooting.

I'd be starting with a 10 inch band with a 5/8 x 3/8 taper. You could also try a 3/4 x 1/2 but i think the lighter might shoot better.
I think these taper dimensions will work, but 10 inches of length is a little floppy for my tastes.

Eight inches of TBG will give you a little more than 1/4 a 31-inch draw length - good performance and durability.

Six inches is close to 1/5 the draw length - better performance with a mild penalty for band life. I'd use this length for actual hunting.

(Edit) Well, actually, I normally cut to 12-inches and draw to about 56 inches.

Thanks for all the input! I'll make a few different ones and just do trial and error and fill you guys in with my findings! I can wait to make my own bands! Got all the tools for making bands and pouches! Now just waiting for my TBG to show up! Thanks again, you guys really helped me out!

So I tried a couple different size bands. The 10 inch with the 3/4 option seemed too light. It had great stretch but not powerful enough. Trial and error time. Does this mean 10 inch with fatter bands or shorter band with thinner taper? All input helps! Thanks guys!

SimpleShot sent out a survey ask what for you really to know, in so many words.
This was exactly my suggestion. I'am new to the game also and dont mind experimenting,

but it would be nice to have some kinda chart to put you in the ball park.
Thanks
