Hi guys, so i recently made my first board cut from some Tasmanian oak (aussie hardwood) for my sisters boyfriend. Let me know what you think.

Good job and great looking but be-careful the grain is the wrong way!!, grain should run vertical

I noticed this once i had already finished it, its only ever going to have light bands on it so hopefully it holds up.

hehe, nah admit it, you just don't like the BF!!
other than that it's a tried and true design. nice.
Haha, hes my best mates younger brother so he comes from good stock lol.

Nice slingshot, but yeah one time i put the grain the wrong way and i put bands on it and began to shoot it and the fork broke and went zipping by my face...better believe I thanked GOD for letting that one not hit my face!

Iv had this happen with a small multplex frame i made that had fairly thin forks, luckily i was not at full draw.
