Here's a buckthorn slingshot I just completed. If you look near the top of the grip, you can see an orange, heart-shaped knot. Buckthorn knots almost always show the orange heartwood. I named this one Knotty Heart. It feels great on the draw, but I'll wait until afternoon to shoot it.

Very nice, that wood has a lot of character!! :thumbsup: I'd suggest making the forks a little shorter to reduce torque on your wrist while shooting.

I prefer short forks but made this one long to reduce fork hits for the newbie it's going to. I'll have him choke up on the grip though.
