Tiger/Curly maple has ALWAYS been my favorite wood - And if can make something that shoots something from it ALL THE BETTER :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Made another Pickle Fork this morning, this time with Tiger Maple. I love Tiger Maple!

So far it has one coat of tung oil.
Super grain in that one, have you ever used any Aniline dyes on that wood ? It looks really cool on highly figured, light toned wood

No I have not. I will have to look into it.

I do have a good selection of highly figured woods. Lots of Birds Eye Maple, and Quarter Sawn Red Oak some with a curly grain. Some nice Cherry crotches that might make a cool SlingShot. I only have a few boards of tiger/curly maple wish I had more.
