A friend of ours has a nice farm pond, and He always tells me to stop by. Today I took Max out to check it out to see if He would like to fish it sometime. This picture shows Max feeding the fish to see if the bass would come up. We did get to see a couple grass carp that are fairly large.

Some of those tiny ponds hold some huge Bass. Get em Tag!!!!

I’d take him up on it. If he’s feeding those bluegill then he’s got some healthy bass. Same approach I use here.

Private farm ponds are the best . Big bass just waiting to bite .

Never fished a farm pond. Never seen one, but man I could sit on that dock and just BE for a couple of weeks! Blue gill feed bass? What are grass carp?

. A grass carp in a pond cannot reproduce, they can reproduce in some rivers.???? They sell for around $25.00 a piece here where I live. These grass carp can literally eat their body weight in vegetation per day. They are a great way to keep the vegetation down without a lot of chemicals. They do not eat algae that I know of. They can reach a couple feet long in that pond.

Are the sold to eat, or sold to be planted in a grassy pond for vegetation control?

Cool! People go all over the world gawking at things, and we have stuff right here that would take a lifetime to see. I probably should have traveled more, but after I got out of the service, I just threw out the anchor and stayed put. Idaho had all I figured I needed. After seeing some of you guys' posts, I maybe miss thought that.
