I’d take him up on it. If he’s feeding those bluegill then he’s got some healthy bass. Same approach I use here.
Took Max out to check a private pond
A friend of ours has a nice farm pond, and He always tells me to stop by. Today I took Max out to check it out to see if He would like to fish it sometime. This picture shows Max feeding the fish to see if the bass would come up. We did get to see a couple grass carp that are fairly large.
