[SLING-N-SHOT]

Thought I would post a few pics of the slowly decaying, but still very solid White Oak tree that I've been mooching wood off of for a while now.

A lot of the limbs have broken off from the main trunk and fell to the ground making them accessible with just a folding saw, but it is almost down to the point where I need a chainsaw to get much more, and I'm just waiting on the day when someone buys the lot it's on, cuts it down and hauls it off . ????

Pretty much every piece I've cut from it is spalted....some beautiful wood.

I'm with Shane on this. It is my experience that such things seem to disappear over night. Get the saw and get after it! You can always rent a storage unit to put it in.

If I had Darrell's money, I'd buy the vacant lot. Harvest the tree and then sell the lot at a profit.

That is a beautiful wood pile! Even the clean limbs have gorgeous dark heartwood.
