Well in my Sheffield Catapult Review I attempted to penetrate shaving cream cans.. I was only able to go through them one at a time,, I think the combination of the cold weather and not drawing the bands to the fullest stretch prevented me from doing so... Or it could have been the contents of the can that prevented it... Anyway I will work harder at it some time in the future, but either way it was fun to do and see in "person" . You should give it a try
Maybe a bit spendy for just one shot? Wouldn't a can of beer suffice if foam is the marker?
Speaking of getting "creamed", check this vid from Jorg, a "return to sender" skonked his noggin with an almost point blank 20mm steelie bouce out. Moral is to make sure you shoot at a limp cloth instead of a hard flat surface. I really feel sorry for poor Jorg. But he had the guts to air this video so all can be warned. You are a real trooper, Heir Jorg! And wife as well who acted as first aid nurse.
