Tied up a set of them at 10" active. For a 50" draw to shoulder. And holy crap cant even get them drawn past my ear hardly. They just dont want to budge past 400% and hit a serious wall. Not the mythical smooth draw of the 2040s I've always heard about...

What elongation factor do you guys usually use for loops?

Well, from your post, I quickly deduced two things: You have long arms and good math skills.

So, I just cut a 3-1/2 inch section of 2040 off my roll, used a 1/4 inch on each end for gripping and stretched it out to 18 inches on my cutting mat. So my 2040 stretches about 6 times the relaxed length.

I am confident it is Dankung amber latex.

Could your source have given you some sketchy latex?

Regarding your other question, I normally set up flats and tubes to pull about 4 times the relaxed length. I rarely shoot looped tubes though, because singles have all the power I need drawing to 36 or 56 inches.

Hope you get it sorted out!

You should be able to get 50 inches and then some ... Hummmm ? at 6.125" active I get 32.5" draw to the wall ... Something sounds fishy with maybe your material ?

That was my line of thinking as well, sounds like a bad batch 2040 is really reliable in my book

I'll go ahead and give that a try. It's definitely Dankung rubber. Bought it directly from them.

Yeeah. I took my grip out of the equation. Stuck my thumb in the pouch and pulled with it. I could reach 50" but that's a task in and of itself. The stacking past about 40" was quite a bit. I've had black 2040 from simpleshot in the past. Still have a little left. Don't remember it being that stiff. Just pulling on some scraps it seems to hit less of a wall but just pulling on a scrap isn't the same as pulling on a looped set. lol So hard to say.

Alright I feel kind of stupid now. The scraps seemed to get easier to stretch the more I messed with them. So I decided to go stretch that set I had on the sling out quite a few times to their max. Each time they would go a little further and easier... Finally decided to give a stretch with some ammo in the pouch and what do you know. They hit my anchor no problem. Mostly shoot flats and those "break in" with just a few shots it seems.

Sorry for the useless post guys. lol

Ya, "Mostly Shoot Flats" was the key, the small amount I shoot flats they are SOOO much easier to pull back. Looped 2040 is some pretty potent medicine and in a looped configuration I'm sure it's a handful !!
