That looks good from over here! I like using cuffs but also have the overkill habit of tying a Constrictor Knot over the cuff. Maybe it isn't overkill. I have some bands from Covert5 that are done that way and although I don't use them continuously, they seem to last forever.
Very nice that is what I called the Chinese cuff. Works great if you get one size smaller tube to make the cuff you don't need any extra tie wraps around it.
The cuffs work on the tackier stretchy elastic. I used to use them. But they don't work on the slippery stiff elastic, which, since it more effectively powers ammo, is all I use now. Sadly... Cuffs are way less annoying then tying pouches.
For looped tubes now, I generally have the loop at the pouch end, with a cuff to keep it tidy. Then I bind the two loose ends to the forks as per usual. I also run the tubes through holes in the forks just like you do in the picture. It prevents handslap pretty reliably. But I also put "cuffs" over them where they go through to prevent abrasion. Otherwise they always break there. All in all it's still easier and much less fidley then tying pouches
