New proposed ban on ordinary garden tools to "prevent knife crime" ?
Affects almost all that are interested in outdoors woods activities I have had folding hand saws that under this would be illegal.

I like to remain fairly level headed with these things and don't think they should realistically get it through, but without spreading information it will sneak through on stealth.
What I see is happening is people in London who have never got their hands dirty done a real days work outside so don't understand that tools are useful. They have seen TV and films of machete's as big scary weapons so that's a good headline we will ban that, but don't do any research into the statistics of the crimes or consultations with the industry that the tools are used in. Just dumb.
People who want to do outdoors things with these tools should be allowed to its good for you being out and working hard.

People who use anything as a weapon should face justice for doing so.

Spreading the information is all I can do.

I've done quite a bit with volunteer groups in woodland with coppice work, trail clearance, bits of teaching bushcraft and traditional woodworking etc it's all hand tools this really could cause problems if interpreted wrongly.

Col.Jeff Cooper once wrote "the only weapon any man has is between his ears, whatever is in his hand is just a tool" about 15-20 years ago there was a case in kalifornia where a body builder beat his girlfriend to death with a pair of 5 lb weights and was only charged with manslaughter because "dumbells arent a weapon" the world is in a sad state of affairs :(
