I am in the vast minority here and enjoy wrist braced slingshots. Much like the Saunders Wing that you demo’d as part of the pass-along - a wrist brace enables you to shoot w/ a relaxed grip. I usually replace the plastic part of the brace w/ a woven one. You can also make one out of leather or some braided paracord. Those forks are adjustable - move them all the way forward for more power. Get rid of the tubes. You can wrap and tuck flats or buy some smart clamps from Pocket Predator. HtH is correct - you can also shorten the forks and cold bend them.

I dig it man. Is that a laser on the front? I agree with the other guys. I had an old Barnett Black Widow, and it didn't do much for me out of the box. But once you get some decent bands on there, and tweak the frame to your size it can really shine. It looks a lot cooler than some of the other big box store braced frames I've seen.

I might have to rethink that arm brace. With the forks all the way forward it might be a bit difficult to control.

Alright Mr. HtH is gonna join the wrist rocketeers!

see in picture 2. the brace web is off the arm. those wires need to be bent down as well.
and yes-yes new bands of any kind.
how do you shoot with it ?
What @Budwig said - you can cold bend the wrist brace struts to suit your arm. The slingshot goes well w/ your tat!

I think we all should have a slingshot like this in the event we are called upon to defend our country against our sworn enemies. Get yourself some Aluminum insulation tape and some extra leather pouches. Glue two pouches together and add some layers of aluminum tape. These ‘metal’ pouches are essential when you need to launch those red hot coals over the castle wall. Add a metal coat hangar-guide between the forks and you can launch arrows as well. These frames are also great for launching assorted ‘chaos ammo’ such as rusty nuts, bolts, old engine parts or the teeth of your POW’s.

A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. I imagine with one of your hot pouches you could just heat up some steel shot in a pan and shoot those... Sketchy to the max. I love it..

Interestingly, I dropped a 3/8 steel ball bearing whilst loading my pouch. I shot the rest of my ammo and then picked up the dropped round, was hot to the touch. It was my most accurate shot of the bunch. My best friend, a professional engineer, confirmed that heating ammo increases accuracy.

Way off topic but this seems as good a place as any to ask - does anyone know how to contact the female model featured in the testosterone ad that keeps popping up on the forum? I've fallen hopelessly in love and would like to ask her to marry me.

You are in luck! Her number is 1-999-cold-peanutbutter-shower.

And FWIW- my add stream isn't getting testosterone adds. Just sayin.... ;) Although they are eavesdropping on me. Camping gear, specialty lumber stores, a bit of archery stuff, and food adds mostly. Also some other stuff that I can't figure out why it is there, like Sprouts farmers market- I'm not huge on Organic and I don't think we have one anywhere close by.

And pretty cool idea about the hot ammo. I wonder if there are any physics / engineering types who can chime in to say if it makes any real world difference at regular temps- i.e. ammo that is 130 F coming off some hot ground vs 85 F in your hand? I am thinking the idea of better accuracy revolves around less air turbulence around a hot ball but would love to hear a better or more detailed explanation from somebody who knew more than I, which wouldn't take on this one.

@High Desert Flipper - Thanks, Bro! I knew I could count on you. Olga and I spoke for quite a while. Really an impressive woman! Turns out that she and her twin sister are also into “slingshoots” as she calls them. I am sending her some money so that they can fly here from Ukraine - we’re going on a double date.

My ad stream is somewhat eclectic - testosterone ads, a link to “20 beautiful redheads,” a t-shirt that says “I love my wife” and a link to an article about Sean Hannity and “his partner.”

My recollection from my discussion with my PE bud is that the heated ammo has less wind resistance. You may be on to something. Although the heated ammo was difficult to handle.

I do have the same "I love my wife" t-shirt add too. Thinking of getting one to wear every time I get another one of those slingshot packages in the mail. 🤔

Sorry for reviving this thread but I recently purchased this model (doh) as I could not find anything else in online stores in my country. Few days later I discovered let's say "proper" slingshots (Scout LT is heading my way).
By lowering the forks you guys mean putting them one level down in place of the wrist brace?
If I wanted to leave the wrist brace would it be possible to cut down some of the forks and bend them?
